Barry is a founder member and partner of the Company involved in consulting engineering since the early 1970’s. As a specialist mechanical engineer Barry continues to have direct involvement in all aspects of the business.
Andrew Payne
Partner
Andrew is a founder member of the Company involved in consulting engineering since 1973. As a specialist electrical engineer he continues to have direct involvement in projects, undertaking design and review of designs by other engineers. Andrew is passionate and committed to his role mentoring junior engineers sharing his extensive knowledge and experience of the industry.
John Holland
Partner
John has been involved in consulting engineering since 1989 as a Specialist Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience. John takes pride in providing innovative, holistic and cost effective solutions for our clients and has broad industry experience overseeing multiple projects with extensive experience of the critical delivery phase of a project. His wealth of experience and construction knowledge provides valued input for buildability, programming, processes, cost management and maximises end user benefit.
Simon Hart
Partner
With 30 years’ experience in the industry Simon understands that building services cannot be designed and installed independently. This vital element must be fully integrated with other elements of the building and requires a high level of coordination. Simon works closely between all designers and contractors to produce an integrated building in which all building services, structural and building elements are fully planned, systematically organised and and brought to fruition.
Marie Clay
Office Manager
Marie has been with D.W Pointer from the very beginning currently fulfilling the role of Office Manager and accounting. Marie is an integral part of the team, helping with programme resourcing and ensuring engineers are supported while fulfilling their work.
Mark Smith
Services Consulting Engineer
Mark joined the practice in 2017, with 20 years construction and building services experience. A Mechanical Engineer by background Mark currently leads multi-disciplinary project teams to deliver appropriate, functional and environmentally sustainable buildings.
James Payne
Electrical Services Consulting Engineer
James joined the practice in 2017, James has a full and varied professional background which gives him an excellent understanding of how to identify client goals and aspirations and work towards these in a collaborative way by maintaining effective communication.
Peter Rowley
Low and Zero Carbon Energy Assessor
Peter joined the team in 2017 bringing with him over 40 years construction industry experience, with the last 14 years specialising in energy and sustainability. A Quantity Surveyor by background leading to a Higher Education and University teaching career in Construction and Building Services. Peter now leads a team of energy specialists.
Alan Hackett
Lead Drafting and BIM Modelling Technician
With 34 years experience in building services drafting and 3D modelling on and off site, Alan leads the BIM team in production of detailed and fully co-ordinated services 3D models using AutoCAD & Revit while working closely with other members of the design team.
Adam Roberts
Head of I.T and Communications
Adam joined the practice in 2004 and is qualified to Microsoft MCSE level. With 35 years experience in IT, communications and system support, Adams expertise provides a robust back bone for our operation.
Nick Attwood
Head of Facilities Management and Environmental
Nick is the head of our environmental engineering division, his role is to coordinate site lead operatives with the consulting teams expertise to ensure that projects are maintained in line with recommendations, guidelines and best practice.
